Here at Wharf Road end
Up at dawn
After a yawn
Hear Jane’s echo around the bend
Sun is up and piercing
Each hair on my face
Feel’s great
Make no mistake
Feels like I drew an ace
Softly rippling
Channel lapping
Folks in banter
One-hand clapping
There is one gull
Up on a rock
Scopes each move
Like the sweep hand of a clock
Jumping quickly
Makes the wall
Here come more
To a wall free-for-all
