Aah! Eeh? Ggh...

Re-issued in May, this 1978 Warner Bros. recording boasts a gem of an album cover. Sadly, the session itself features under-performing greats (Herbie Hancock, Airto Moreira, Victor Feldman, Harvey Mason, etc.,) reminding us why “too-groovy,” and from the looks of it – too much coke and white wine – can be a problem.

Still, there are couple important jams here: Casa De Los Sospensos, Night Dancing (via Robots in Heat), and even Katherine more than cover for the absurdities scattered through the rest of the recording.

You'd be better off with this CTI monster, Canned Funk via Flea Market Funk, or another sweet original: Skateboard Park (greedy!).
